Hunter Banks was great! I called the shop a day before I wanted to go on a guided trip and they took care of me. My family and I were on vacation and I wanted to catch some wild trout in a small stream. The shop hooked me up with James. James picked me up at the shop and headed out. We got to the river and started fishing. James was real knowledgeable about the river. He got me into all the right spots to catch fish! He had me on fish all day and I caught an abundance of fish. I cannot recommend James and Hunter banks enough! They will take care of you on a guided fly fishing trip.

You are in good hands at Hunter Banks! I met Shane during a local class he taught for people new to fly fishing. From there, I scheduled a wading trip to the Cataloochee Valley. I highly recommend my guide Caleb if you are new to fly fishing. He was the perfect blend of patience and humor as I learned to cast, mend, and set. "Don't worry--if you aren't losing a few flies, you aren't fishing too hard!" I look forward to purchasing my own gear through HB and getting back out on the water!

This was the best guided experience I have ever had. Jimmy is an encyclopedia of fly fishing knowledge and put us on the fish in wild water with precision! I didn’t know you could be that good. More importantly he is an amazing instructor. Being from Florida focused on fishing offshore, my father in-law and I both had never cast a fly rod and Jimmy had us catching fish all day.
