About me
With over 15 years of guiding experience and a decade at Hunter Banks Fly Fishing, I’ve had the privilege of helping anglers from all walks of life discover fly fishing. As the Chief of Operations and one of the co-owners here at Hunter Banks, I’m proud to be part of a team that values both tradition and innovation on the water. My passion lies in teaching whether it’s introducing someone to the sport for the first time or helping seasoned anglers refine their technique. I enjoy sharing creative, effective strategies that make fly fishing more productive and more enjoyable. Nothing beats watching an angler light up after learning something new that changes the way they fish. When I’m not in the shop or on the water, I’m always thinking about how we can continue to grow our community and help others get the most out of their time on the fly.Certifications

As always, another spectacular day of fishing with the Hunter Banks team. The guides were phenomenal - instructive, patient, and fun. The river (Watauga) was the river - always a gem to be on regardless of the weather. The fishing was terrific - period.

Despite less than ideal water conditions, we had a spectacular day on the water and brought some nice fish to the net. In addition to being a pleasure to hang out with, Miller is a standout guide and knows the Tuck like the back of his hand. He's also an excellent instructor - this was my nephew's first day on the water with a fly rod. Miller is quite patient and his approach is exceptional for first-timers. Clear, calm and easy to follow direction, without any unnecessary nuance or information overload. As a result, my nephew is hooked and eager to go again. The attached photo tells the tale. Thanks again Miller!
