About me
Chris is a local of Sylva, North Carolina where he grew up pursuing the wild trout of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Chris has been guiding for over ten years, and loves to spend his days with customers in the drift boat or wading local mountain waters. Every day on the water provides a unique experience to learn new skills and tactics, and Chris loves to share his knowledge and eagerness to learn with beginners and advanced anglers alike!Certifications

Had an amazing experience fly fishing for the first time on private waters with our guide Chris Manet. He did a great job explaining to us the basics of fly fishing. My father, brother and I caught around 5-6 fish each and couldn’t have asked for a better trip.

Our recent wade trip at Ivy Bend was fantastic. Lots of large, healthy, fighting Rainbow Trout in the water. The location and scenery was beautiful. Our guide Chris kept really busy netting all the fish we caught. 1/2 day was perfect.

The moment we met up with Chris, we knew it was going to be a fun day. He’s a high-energy guide and clearly loves life. The fishing was tough, but Chris kept swapping us out, trying unique rigs and fishing styles I hadn’t seen much before (I.e., swinging a streamer under an indicator with another secret touch I’ll let you find out for yourselves). By the end of the day, we’d figured out what they wanted and definitely outfished the other boats on the river. Great guy, great to spend time with. Highly recommend!
