About me
Born and raised in Colorado, I caught my first trout on a fly rod at age seven and never looked back. Under the guidance of my father, Pat Dorsey, I spent countless hours on the legendary South Platte River in Cheesman Canyon, cutting my teeth on some of the most challenging trout in the country. Those early days forged my lifelong identity as a tailwater junkie – someone who thrives on the technical, demanding and rewarding pursuit of trout in tough water. By eight years old, I was tying flies and what began as a childhood hobby quickly evolved into a deep passion for both fly tying and fly fishing. Today, whether I’m knee-deep in a tailwater, sneaking along a small mountain creek or helping a beginner land their very first trout, I’m still chasing the same thrill I felt when I caught my first fish at age seven. It’s all about the prefect drift, the subtle take, and the connection to nature in these beautiful mountains that we call home.Certifications

Highly recommend Hunter banks to take you fishing , they made this probably one of my favorite fishing trips ever. Forest was amazing and incredibly knowledgeable I learned so much from him. We slayed the fish. Couldn’t recommend a better place to book with. I will be booking another trip very soon.
