About me
I began fly fishing as a young teenager and I have been guiding for ten years with Hunter Banks Fly Fishing. As a retired firefighter fly fishing became my therapy and guiding made me realize it was more than just fishing. Fly Fishing is a passion for me and every day with every trip I try to relate that passion to my clients no matter what their skill level. My clients are the most important element for me on the river. At Hunterbanks we are professionals and we maintain competence and skill to serve our clients on and off the river. Off the stream I enjoy family, freelance writing, Nascar, college football, and chasing water wherever it may be!!Certifications

This was the best guided experience I have ever had. Jimmy is an encyclopedia of fly fishing knowledge and put us on the fish in wild water with precision! I didn’t know you could be that good. More importantly he is an amazing instructor. Being from Florida focused on fishing offshore, my father in-law and I both had never cast a fly rod and Jimmy had us catching fish all day. Great time with Jimmy at Ivy Bend. Support the conservation effort and do Ivy Bend for a wade trip. Jimmy listened to us carefully as to our experience and focused his efforts to teach and have fun. We improved our skills, caught fish and had a lot of fun. Already tried Jimmy's tips on home waters. Excellent experience.
