About me
A native of Rutherford County, just south of Asheville, Forrest grew up immersed in the outdoors and developed a passion for fly fishing and fly tying at a young age. Through 20 years of experience Forrest has become deeply connected to the rivers and streams of Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. After earning a business degree from UNC Asheville, Forrest chose to follow his true calling: guiding anglers and sharing his love of fly fishing. While he’s skilled in all aspects of the sport, Forrest is especially known for his expertise on the Tennessee tailwaters. His deep knowledge of these rivers, honed over years of experience, makes every trip with him both productive and educational. As always, another spectacular day of fishing with the Hunter Banks team. The guides were phenomenal - instructive, patient, and fun. The river (Watauga) was the river - always a gem to be on regardless of the weather. The fishing was terrific - period.
