For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

The climbing experience was awesome and the highlight of our trip! We had never climbed outdoors before but were able to with our amazing guide, Kincaid. A great guide makes all the difference, and Kincaid was super friendly, informative, and also made us feel safe and comfortable with all of the climbing. He really did an excellent job and we had a great time with great views on the mountain. We would definitely book this tour again, and they’ve got different sites to choose from next time.

Awesome half day of family rock climbing by the ocean. Beautiful scenery, perfect level for beginners, and patient rock climbing guide. First time doing this for my 12 and 8-year-old daughters and they loved it! We’ll be back the next time we’re in Bar Harbor!

Our guide was Daniel who was amazing. Very knowledgeable, calm, patient & a sense of humor. I have a fear of heights and he made me feel very comfortable especially rappleing down the mountain. He was always there when we got stuck to help us find a hold. Just love this company!
