For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

We had the best time climbing with Murphy today. My son was so excited about being able to climb on this vacation and it did not disappoint. The views were incredible at Otter Cliffs. Murphy picked out some great routes and challenged him just enough to make it all worth it. Will definitely be climbing with Atlantic Climbing School next time we are back. And definitely asking for Murphy.

Rock Climbing with Atlantic Climbing School is one of our favorite family memories. Our 10-year-old daughter, my wife, and I wanted to try this safely with a one-on-one session. Kincaid made us feel safe and excited about rock climbing and took the time to explain all of the equipment. He even found a way to quell my fear of heights. Everyone we met at ACS was professional, funny, and passionate about their work. And Kincaid has some pretty sweet Dad Jokes. A++

Ryan was an awesome guide! He was friendly and professional, and our family of four really appreciated his care for each of our needs. One of our kids is very much into climbing, and wanted to try multiple climbs, which Ryan kindly accommodated. Our other son is more timid about heights and Ryan also did a great job finding an easier climb for him and making sure he felt safe.

We had the best time start to finish. I was hesitant to sign up with our three kids since they are quite young and very small, 5 and 7. But we took a chance and couldn’t be happier. Murphy took us to pebble beach and set up an easy course over looking the ocean. The kids went up and down for hours. Then we moved to a different area for more climbing and rappelling. Murphy was amazing with the kids and in the end we found 4 hours wasn’t enough. Thank you Atlantic climbing school!

This trip was amazing! Kincaid and Sam were beyond encouraging! They made us feel like we could climb mountains, and we did! Wow! The view from the top would take your breath away. I felt so safe with our guides, and they explained their safety gear and the climbing process so well that I climbed virtually without fear. My husband, who is afraid of heights, made it to the top on all of our climbs. Kincaid and Sam helped us understand how to get out of our heads and just climb! So worth it!
