Ted and Matt are able to make an exam environment feel fun and stress-free. We had unpredictable weather, and they were always prepared to adjust plans in a productive way. We had a large group and I think they did an awesome job of assessing each individual, while providing helpful overviews and takeaways at the end of each session. Thanks a lot!

My trip was great. Our guide/instructor Ted was awesome as usual. Despite the challenging weather we still had loads of fun, learned a lot, and I will definitely recommend to anyone wishing to pursue the AMGA SPI curriculum.

Ted did a great job putting together a 2 day assessment at Acadia. He always maintains a very comfortable but high level of engagement with the entire group, and keeps an energy that does not fade for the all the days I have worked with him. (4 now) He is very clear in his instructions, great at walking the group through the 2 days of assessment, and builds a safe working environment where people can perform at a very high level because his qualities as a professional climber and his personality work to let people bring their best game for those days. Ted and Grant are consummate professionals. They have immense respect for their responsibility in training the next generation of guides. Despite the inherent stresses, the exam was tightly run and thoroughly enjoyable. Their teaching was conversational and tailored to the individual at hand. We learned not to think in terms of rigid rules but principles that we should tailor to our specific contexts. I can't say enough good things, and I look forward to learning from these master educators again!
