For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

This was our last day in Bar Harbor/Acadia after a week long trip and it was one of the best days! Our teenage girls thoroughly enjoyed their climbing experience. It doesn’t get any better than climbing along the water with beautiful views. Our guide, Mike, was so wonderful and knew exactly how to make everything go smoothly.

He ensured each climber in our group felt confident and calm during the experience and we loved spending time out on the Otter Cliffs! Haley was great! We were able to tailor the session to my interests although I wish I had gotten more hands-on practice rigging anchors. I got the feeling I wasn't really supposed to be involved due to safety dynamics at the anchor. The climbing was beautiful, crowded but still spots to go. I wish we had been able to dial a happy medium project as I sort of cruised on 5.7 then foundered on 5.9. Came away feeling like I had lots to work on which is good.

So glad we made time to drive over to acadia for this trip. Haley was great at challenging us and giving multiple route options. This being my first time outdoor climbing she made me feel super comfortable explaining all of the safety precautions she was taking. We will definitely be back
