Max Jackson
About me
Max Jackson was born in Paraguay and raised in Somerville Massachusetts, he climbed for the first time in Zion National Park when he was 12. Whether climbing in the USA, backpacking in Chile, or mountain biking in Moab, spending time outside helps remind him what’s most important in life. When he’s not guiding in New England, he works as a head route setter and instructor at the Overlook gym in Atlanta creating climbs for people to enjoy. Max also works with Volta (the climbing gym). Ask Max about the gyms! He received his Single Pitch Instructor in Acadia, and got his Wilderness First Responder in Conway, NH. Down to earth and constantly making jokes, he’s ready to help people connect -or- reconnect with the outdoors!

Wonderful climbing experience! First time climbing and repelling with family . Max is excellent instructor highly recommend him on your climb. I was very nervous an he calmed all fears and coached us through the whole climb. Felt safe with him! Great experience highly recommend! Such a sweet a patient instructor!! We had the best time at Atlantic Climbing School! Max was our guide and he was awesome. All members of our group had different climbing levels and Max was able to accommodate to all of our abilities. We were able to talk before going out to climb and decided on hiking at Otter Cliffs. It was absolutely gorgeous. I was scared going down the cliffs, but Max was able to give helpful instructions and positive affirmations! We had such a great time and would definitely go bacK!
