For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

My 11-year-old spent a half-day climbing with Max at Atlantic Climbing School, and he had an amazing experience! Max was so kind and thorough, walking us through every step of the process with an emphasis on safety throughout. He was encouraging, warm, and clear in his instructions. He set up amazing climbing routes right on the beautiful sea cliffs at Acadia, tailoring everything specifically to my son's climbing level. We couldn't have asked for a better experience - so much fun!

What an amazing experience. We had gorgeous weather and an amazing guide (Max). It was the most memorable part of our week in Bar Harbor / Acadia. Max did an especially great job of adapting his approach to four climbers of different ages and ability/experience levels, so that everyone had a great time.
