For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

Our experience with Calvin and Mike at the Atlantic Climbing School was incredible. They met each of us (2 adults and 4 children ages 7-16) at our own comfort levels and then gently encouraged us to push those levels. They were professional and made safety the highest priority, but at the same time treated us to a fun and exciting morning. Our kids all agreed that this experience was the best part of our entire trip to Maine. I would absolutely recommend the Atlantic Climbing School to anyone looking to add a little adventure to their trip to Acadia.

I and my friend chanced upon this adventure and the guide, Calvin while we were hiking in the area and luckily, were able to get a slot the following day. We both were new to climbing and Calvin did an amazing job knowing I had fear of heights and open waters. He was very knowledgeable and detailed us on every step of the way. We climbed near the otter cliffs (5 each) and absolutely loved the experience.
