For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

Would give it 6 stars! Sam was safety forward, personable and knowledgable. He provided the perfect guidance and support for our beginner family of four. The location, Ottor Cliffs in Acadia, couldnt be a more ideal backdrop for this experience. We'll be back!.

We had an AMAZING climbing experience with Max (and the intern Trevor)! Max is an accomplished, patient climber and 100% focused on safety. He taught us all (myself, husband, and 15-yr-old daughter) a lot about climbing and was so encouraging. We did the Otter Cliffs climb in Acadia- such incredible views. It was hard work but almost wish we had done a whole day :) Atlantic Climbing School is the best outfit out of Bar Harbor with the most experienced guides. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Climbing with Max at the Atlantic Climbing School was a highlight of our trip! My wife, daughter, and I enjoyed the experience. We climbed the steep granite rock at Otter Cliffs overlooking the ocean. The rock climbing was challenging for us but Max was encouraging, patient, and professional. Highly recommended!
