For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience - especially considering the recent stretch of rainy weather! Calvin and Tom expertly navigated us through a really fun scramble and found a perfect place for the group of us to get in some memorable climbs - our first in Acadia. Calvin and Tom are patient, kind, super knowledgeable and made the afternoon so much fun. Safety is their top priority, with providing an awesome climbing adventure a close second. We will definitely request them again!

Reed was exceptionally kind, fun to talk with, and a spectacular and supportive guide. I knew I was in great hands, which meant I felt safe enough to just enjoy the experience of climbing for the first time. He explained everything he was doing and helped me learn about the equipment and set up, as well as teaching me a few terms and moves that I would need to utilize on certain routes. He designed the experience to include a variety of routes and experiences and coached me through each. He even took a few photos for me since I was climbing alone. I’m so glad I took the leap, and even more glad that I chose Atlantic Climbing School.
