For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

Our kids had a great experience. Sam was knowledgeable, personable and instilled confidence in all of us. His phrase " challenge by choice" really resonated with the kids and made it easy for the younger one to decline doing the chimney. And we learned a new word-- kilonewton! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Tom was a fantastic guide. We booked an all-day trip and climbed at both the south face and otter cliffs. My partner and I are intermediate climbers without a whole lot of outdoor experience, but Tom found routes that not only challenged us, but encouraged us to appreciate the experience. We learned so much from Tom and had a blast doing so! Cannot recommend ACS enough. We will be back.
