For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

My 10 year old daughter and I had an amazing experience with our guide Ben. Ben was personable and professional. We both have indoor climbing experience, but this was only our second time top roping outdoors. Ben made sure we had fun while ensuring our safety. The scenario is breathtaking and the climbing was the exact level of challenge we wanted. I highly recommend!

Our experience with Atlantic Climbing School was fantastic! Our guide, Tom, tailored the half-day rock climbing lesson to match our abilities and the type of experience we were looking for. My favorite part was a climb that started with rappelling down a rock face towards the water. The thrill of the descent and the climb back up was absolutely exhilarating! Highly recommend this school for an unforgettable climbing adventure.

Mike did a fantastic job. We had a great time climbing and learning about the gear. He showed us a a few techniques and found some climbs that we within our skill level. He was patient with the kids and showed us the gear and taught us all about it and and answered all our questions. We had a great time and look forward to climbing again!

We had an excellent time climbing at Otter Cliffs with our ACS guide, Mike. Mike was very knowledgeable, and patient with myself and my teenage children. He tailored or climbs to our abilities. He knew the climbs so well, he was able to guide us from above, by telling where to look for holds. He made sure we had time to do several climbs. Mike also gave us some great recommendations for hikes to do while in the area. I would definitely climb with ACS when I'm the area again, and I highly recommend Mike. He was professional, yet personable and made us very comfortable.
