Trip: Top Rope Ice Climbing

Guide: Chris O.

Chris was so awesome!! Really appreciated him tailoring the experience to our goals, including showing us equipment and terrain that are not “standard” vertical ice climbing but much more relevant to what we are training for. He was super knowledgeable and hilarious. We loved climbing with him.

My friend and I climbed/mountaineered Mt. Washington with our Guide Laurie Watts and a junior Guide, Toni. Laurie and Toni helped us to feel safe every single step of the way and provided encouragement when my energy level allowed doubt about being able to reach the summit creep in. Laurie entertained us with stories from her many years in the outdoors and also took every opportunity to teach us about the mountain and nature while also instilling in us a respect for the outdoors and Mt. Washington. I would highly recommend Laurie for any trip or activity!!

Laurie was a great climb. I appreciated her emphasis on safety, and I felt comfortable on the ice with her careful instruction even as a beginner.

This is my second time with Mooney Moutain guides and it was just as rewarding and fun as the last time. Alex and team are knowledgeable and professional. They do all the heavy lifting but also teach you skills and tips. Highly recommend them if you want to want a fun outdoor experience and learn some skills! Special shoutout to Laurie! She is phenomenal! Thank you Laurie for helping us get comfortable with gear. We learned so much from you.

Trip: Women's OPEN GROUP: Top Rope Ice Climbing

Guide: Laurie W.

Laurie is an incredibly patient, kind teacher. The group was mixed in that some had never been on ice before or worn crampons. Never once did Laurie act like that was an inconvenience. For those with a bit more experience, she was constantly looking for ways to add value or to teach a new pony trick. I couldn't recommend the experience and the guide more highly.

Had a great day at Kinsman Notch climbing with Laurie Watt, Toni (Tony?), Jordan, and a number of female participants. The crag was a bit crowded, but Laurie knew the other guide and we were able to share ropes. Instruction was clear and beta and encouragement were awesome! Would climb with your guides again,
