Mooney Mountain Guides LLC goal is to help more people fall in love with climbing and the mountains, by providing the highest quality guided experience to our guests on guided climbs, lessons, and courses. MMG guides to not only guide the climb, but also create a personalized experience for each guest, each day based on guest goals. MMG is Lead by IFMGA Licensed Mountain Guide, Alex Teixeira. The highest level of guide training in the world. MMG guides have the distinct benefit of learning and mentorship from one of the most qualified guides in the country. This translates to the highest quality instruction, risk management, and options to grow as a climber world wide.

Great day climbing at Rumney. Ben was great, shifting us around the crag to make the most of the drizzly conditions so we had no downtime, and he pivoted seamlessly to some hands-on skill work at our request. He accommodated our group of varying levels of skill and fitness very well so that each one of us had fun, was appropriately challenged and learned from the experience. Two thumbs up!

I’ve never been happier to leave a review. Ben King was ANAZING! He was so professional, thorough, patient and safe and he catered our time to meet our needs. It was my first climb outdoors. He went thru all the safety info with real time demos. Then he got us climbing: encouraging us to push ourselves. We had different level climbers and we all got what we needed from the day and so much more. I would highly recommend Mooney Mountain Guides and especially Ben!

Ben's instruction was excellent - easy to follow and put into practice, and very thorough. Even if you consider yourself to be a fairly strong gym climber, this is a great choice to learn some of the skills, tools, and etiquette of outdoor climbing. After this session, we stayed in Rumney for a few days and had enough knowledge to choose appropriate routes and climb them independently. This experience was essential to what became a wonderful trip! Thanks again Ben!

Ben was great - worked with our varying wants for the trip and was both fun and educational as we were all new to Rumney and the group was different levels of prepared for outdoor climbing. Definitely strikes the right coaching mix of motivation and reassurance when you are up there. Safety was forefront throughout which was also really cool. 10/10.
