Ben Mirkin is an outstanding instructor. He is able to meet all students at their level of knowledge and skill and bring them through the curriculum with kindness and support. Ben also gave valuable individual feedback throughout the day ensuring that all students got the most from the program. Rescue skills are critical and should be reviewed every year for optimum preparedness. I highly recommend Ben as an instructor.

This is my second trip with Mooney but definitely not my last!!! All staff were kind, approachable, attentive to safety and physical concerns, transparent, knowledgeable and SO FUN! As a person that asks a lot of questions, they answered them all with a smile and enthusiasm! I left climbing from their group trip feeling accomplished and am definitely coming back! Thanks so much to Alex and crew!

Alex is a great educator! We came prepared, he filled in the gaps from the online course to the actual field work. We went through a lot of “if” scenarios that got me thinking. I’m more confident practicing, replicating and hopeful I can make a difference in avalanche rescue. Thanks for the education and support! I appreciate the time spent.

Alex was a terrific guide. He gave us great advice on how to handle ourselves and made sure we were in good shape the whole way. It was difficult conditions on the mountain but we felt confident throughout the ascent and descent. Thanks to Alex we had a successful summit. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

We had an excellent ascent of Mt. Washington with Alex as our guide. He did a great job of ensuring we used the right technique, fueled correctly and kept the right pace to summit. On top of that, we had a really fun time! We’d recommend to anyone looking to attempt the summit.
