Trip: Women's OPEN GROUP - Learn to Lead:Trad

Guide: Laurie W.

It didn't hurt that it was a perfect day to climb, but Laurie was a great, patient, supportive instructor. She shared her experience and knowledge in a way that was most effective to her students' ability and level. She also had recommendations for other climbing areas appropriate to our skills. Would 100% learn from her again.

Everything was amazing! Chris was a great guide and we did so much climbing!!! (And learned a lot, too). He made everything feel accessible for everyone in our group. We're excited for the next trip to Rumney!

Trip: Custom Trip

Guide: Alex T.

Loved Echo Crag and Artists Bluff as our sites for the course. The weather was usual New England so we got hit with a little precipitation and some clouds but then sunshine was right behind it. Perfect weather would've taken away from learning how to adapt with the environment and keep value and quality of experience. Alex was amazing! Very clear with our objectives as our group progressed with assisted ease. Each day our learned skills where tested and compounded. Alex had concise and experienced answers to all our questions (especially mine) and I really appreciate the perspective he's given me on what it is to be a guide in our outstanding climbing community!

Trip: Rumney - Half Day

Guide: Chris O.

This exceeded all expectations!! Chris was very accommodating and knowledgeable about Rumney. He took the time to break things down and answered every question that I had. Chris is clearly passionate about climbing and teaching others. Can’t wait to climb with Mooney Mountain again in the future!

Trip: Top Rope Ice Climbing

Guide: Laurie W.

An amazing yet challenging adventure. Laurie is very knowledgeable. She makes you feel comfortable and explains why they do what they do as they do it. Very safety aware. Intern Tony too was knowledgeable and also explained things. Always double check safeties #1. Had a fantastic time. Would definitely recommend trying. Thanks for a great experience.
