Welcome to San Juan Expeditions the guide service of Silverton and Durango Colorado. As a year-round guide service, we offer our clients jaw-dropping climbing and trekking opportunities in the summer while our guided skiing, ice climbing, and avalanche education keep our guests busy in the winter. As the only year-round guide service headquartered in Silverton, we are uniquely qualified to share our world-class backyard with you, your friends, and your family. What an incredible experience in the San Juans! Our hut-based Avalanche 2 group learned so much and had such an incredible time ski touring, digging pits, creating Caltopo maps, and becoming empowered to travel knowledgeably in the backcountry. We all came away from the experience with new friends and new skills!

Really enjoyed the whole course! Favourite part was planning our own adventure on the Saturday evening, and then carrying out our plan on Sunday. I enjoyed learning about snow types and conditions and how they change throughout the season. Awesome experience all round!
