About Us
Mooney Mountain Guides LLC goal is to provide the highest quality guided experience to our guests on guided climbs, lessons, and courses. It is the continuous effort of all MMG guides to not only guide the climb, but also create a personalized experience for each guest, each day based on guest goals. MMG guides will practice safe climbing techniques, teach up to date information, follow Leave No Trace principles and treat our guests and other climbers with the highest degree of personal respect.
In addition to the service provided, MMG’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for our guests by being at the leading edge of industry development and professionalism. This includes in-house training, guide mentorship, and personal professional development. Guides who pursue personal growth are rewarded with increased benefits and compensations. Laurie is an incredibly patient, kind teacher. The group was mixed in that some had never been on ice before or worn crampons. Never once did Laurie act like that was an inconvenience. For those with a bit more experience, she was constantly looking for ways to add value or to teach a new pony trick. I couldn't recommend the experience and the guide more highly.

Had a great day at Kinsman Notch climbing with Laurie Watt, Toni (Tony?), Jordan, and a number of female participants. The crag was a bit crowded, but Laurie knew the other guide and we were able to share ropes. Instruction was clear and beta and encouragement were awesome! Would climb with your guides again,

My husband and I had an incredible time learning the basics of ice climbing with Jordan! He was very professional in communication and was attentive to our needs throughout the day. We were surprised with how much progression we were able to make, with a lot of credit going to Jordan's ability to provide reflective and real-time coaching. Went on my bachelor party here this past weekend with all my groomsmen and we simply had the best time ever!! It was the first time we all went rock climbing and Ted and Chris helped everyone feel capable and fully trained and safe. There were options for all skill levels and an endless amount of choices for climbing routes. From beginning to end, the experience was professionally and perfectly executed, leaving everyone exhausted from a great day of fun and with a ton of great memories and pictures.
