Trip: AMGA SPI Course: Franconia Notch

Guide: Ted T.

The SPI course led by Ted Teegarden was awesome! Ted is a great teacher and his excitement for the material/climbing made the course a lot of fun! Ted made sure we got through all the course material but left ample time for questions and practicing the systems. We all left with many new tools in our toolbox and I am extremely excited to keep progressing my skills! Thanks Ted and Mooney Mountain guides!

Ted did a great job leading our SPI course. His warm, compassionate demeanor helped me feel at ease while learning and mastering new skills and his technical knowledge is superb. It’s clear Ted is not only a stellar climber and guide, but a stellar human as well.

Trip: Rumney Rock Climbing

Guide: Chris O.

Chris was an awesome guide! He listened to what I we were interested in and threw lots of fun routes at us that were perfect for our grade level. He was knowledgeable and friendly. A great day!

Trip: Rumney Rock Climbing

Guide: Chris O.

Chris set up and delivered an awesome day for us, making time to listen to our objectives first and then taking us on an awesome best of tour of some Runmey classics. Would highly recommend Chris as a guide!

Trip: Rumney Rock Climbing

Guide: Chris O.

Absolutely incredible- Chris coached my partner and I (gym climbers) into confidently lead climbing, anchor building and managing rope on multipitch. We wanted this kind of expert guide experience to get us outside and climbing at our local crags for a very long time. Chris was super proactive syncing with us before hand on the skills we wanted to learn and practice and assembled a super fun, rigorous climbing/teaching/coaching/ground practice Rumney excursion with us. We came back to the Crag the following day and sent some routes all by ourselves and lead a route so our friends could top rope with us. Absolutely epic!

Trip: Women's OPEN GROUP - Learn to Lead:Trad

Guide: Laurie W.

It didn't hurt that it was a perfect day to climb, but Laurie was a great, patient, supportive instructor. She shared her experience and knowledge in a way that was most effective to her students' ability and level. She also had recommendations for other climbing areas appropriate to our skills. Would 100% learn from her again.
