About Us
Mooney Mountain Guides LLC goal is to provide the highest quality guided experience to our guests on guided climbs, lessons, and courses. It is the continuous effort of all MMG guides to not only guide the climb, but also create a personalized experience for each guest, each day based on guest goals. MMG guides will practice safe climbing techniques, teach up to date information, follow Leave No Trace principles and treat our guests and other climbers with the highest degree of personal respect.
In addition to the service provided, MMG’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for our guests by being at the leading edge of industry development and professionalism. This includes in-house training, guide mentorship, and personal professional development. Guides who pursue personal growth are rewarded with increased benefits and compensations. Loved Echo Crag and Artists Bluff as our sites for the course. The weather was usual New England so we got hit with a little precipitation and some clouds but then sunshine was right behind it. Perfect weather would've taken away from learning how to adapt with the environment and keep value and quality of experience. Alex was amazing! Very clear with our objectives as our group progressed with assisted ease. Each day our learned skills where tested and compounded. Alex had concise and experienced answers to all our questions (especially mine) and I really appreciate the perspective he's given me on what it is to be a guide in our outstanding climbing community!

An amazing yet challenging adventure. Laurie is very knowledgeable. She makes you feel comfortable and explains why they do what they do as they do it. Very safety aware. Intern Tony too was knowledgeable and also explained things. Always double check safeties #1. Had a fantastic time. Would definitely recommend trying. Thanks for a great experience.

Laurie was really great about contacting us in advance to discuss what we hoped to gain from our guided experience. On the day of the climb she discussed our options for the climb with regard to weather and risk then gave us choices. The climb was both enjoyable and instructive. Laurie was very professional and I always felt safe but also at ease as I would feel with a friend. At the end of the day and afterward in an email she shared resources that we might like to pursue and welcomed us to contact her with questions in the future! I woukd love to climb with Laurie again and will definitely recommend her to any friends looking to get into ice climbing, rock climbing or mountaineering
