For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Atlantic Climbing School! Our instructor, Max, was phenomenal. His expertise, knowledge, and passion for climbing stood out and made the experience so enjoyable. My family, including our 10-year-old, had a blast. Max was patient and encouraging and made sure we all felt safe while having fun. He catered to our different skill levels, making it an unforgettable adventure for everyone. We did a 4 hour climb with Atlantic. It was a smooth experience from start to finish. Max was great!! He encouraged us every step of the way to make sure we were pushing ourselves to get the best possible experience!

We spent the day with Mike Ricard. It was amazing. We climbed and sent 10 pitches each. Mike had both the personal skills and the climbing skills for a day that was safe, fun and utterly memorable. Definitely five stars in our book!

We had an excellent day with our guide Mike Ricard. Mike was professional, knowledgeable and very personable. He’s a natural teacher and talked me up climbs I didn’t think I was capable of. He knows how to coax without being too pushy and makes you feel good about whatever route you accomplish. I would definitely hire him again

We had the best time at Atlantic Climbing School! Max was our guide and he was awesome. All members of our group had different climbing levels and Max was able to accommodate to all of our abilities. We were able to talk before going out to climb and decided on hiking at Otter Cliffs. It was absolutely gorgeous. I was scared going down the cliffs, but Max was able to give helpful instructions and positive affirmations! We had such a great time and would definitely go bacK!
