Mojave Guides is an AMGA accredited guide service in Joshua Tree, California. This accreditation ensures that we are upholding the highest of industry standards, including rigorous and uniform guide training, compliance with state and federal law, and that we promote ethical business practices. Our guides are contributing members of both the climbing community and our local community in Joshua Tree. We look forward to introducing you to our favorite place!

Mojave Guides rock climbing is outstanding. Their website is easy to navigate and updates in realtime, which is helpful. Our guide, Mason, was fun, kind and extremely supportive. He took us to a cool climbing spot and gave us options of climbing levels. My 15 yo nephew was really nervous about his first repel. Mason talked him through it & encouraged him constantly. I highly recommend Mojave Guides!

The guides for our Mojave desert tour were all great! There were lots of guides and they moved around our group of about 40 people. They each had something different to show us or tell us about, and they loved to see our excitement. They were each interesting people in their own way, forging unique paths in this world, totally appreciative of the beauty of the desert, the joy of their work and getting to know each of us. It felt like a great day with new friends. God bless each one of you. And thank you again.

Our family had an amazing time on half day Joshua Tree Rappelling trip. Most of the credit for this experience goes to our tour guide Mason. He was very professional, encouraging and patient. This was our first experience with Rappelling and it couldn’t have been better. We started out on a relatively small rock and once we got comfortable with it, we went on a challenging rock. Mason gave us the confidence and ensured that we all had an amazing time. My kids can’t stop talking about how great our experience was. Thanks Mojave guides and Mason for such a great experience!

Defne was such a great, fun guide! She was knowledgeable, safe, and flexible based on my needs as a client (I was coming off of a shoulder injury, so I wasn't fully sure of how hard I'd be climbing). She listened to my goals for the session, and gave me just the right amount of challenge for my current fitness level. We were able to pack a decent amount of climbing into the half day, and she was thoughtful enough to show me some classics and 5-star climbs, as it was my first time in Joshua Tree. Thanks again for a great time! I'd definitely book with Mojave Guides again.

It was my daughter and my first time to Joshua Tree. She has been climbing in the state before, but it was my first time in CA and a long time since I’d climbed. Beautiful area, guide was well prepared and was amazing!!

My 13 year old daughter and I did a morning trip with Ryan in JTNP. My daughter is a climber, I am not, but we had a great time and were both challenged by the routes that Ryan chose for us. Highly recommended!
