Overall great experience with Murphy from Mojave Guides. He was friendly, awesome with the kids, and was great about safety stuff without seeming overbearing. Rented gear was clean and good quality . Found some climbs that were just right for our ability levels, in an area of the park we never would've found for ourselves. Gave advice when we wanted it, and friendly banter throughout. The kids wanted to go back again today!

Very disappointed, there were no Joshua Trees on Mount Bob. ....ABSOLUTELY KIDDING, not about the tree part, but we had a fabulous time. We asked for a "rugged" hike and Murphy delivered. He was also extremely knowledgeable, personable, and encouraging during our climb (Midwesterner here. I'm calling it a climb). 10 out of 10 would do this again and recommend it to any adventure seeker that is unfamiliar with desert territories. Thanks for the memories and the 90s karaoke, Murph!

Our trip with Murphy was incredible! He took the time to assess our skill level, goals of the climb, and even taught us new skills to utilize. His enthusiasm was contagious and the encouragement he provided was invaluable to our sends. We had a blast climbing with Murphy and are leaving with memories to last a lifetime.

Trip: Joshua Tree Choose Your Own Adventure - Half Day (AM)

We went on a pick our own adventure and we did repelling and canyon exploring. Our guide Ryan was amazing. He was on time and very knowledgeable of the Joshua Tree National Park. The canyon exploring was everyone's favorite but the repelling didn't disappoint. We had a 16 year old who was having second thoughts on desending over the edge but Ryan was able to coach and talk to him in a very easy manner that aloud him to become at ease and make it down. Over all an amazing day

Great day! I climbed a bit when I was in my 20-30’s and I’m now in my 60’s and climbing with 27 year old. We had different ability levels and Murf did a great job finding climbs that worked for both of us, and when I got gassed, he found a challenging climb for my oldest, that pushed their limits and felt like a real accomplishment! I was challenged too on the more moderate climbs. Bottom line, Murf structured a day where we got in a lot of climbs that worked for us really well. Aside from being a fun and knowledgeable guide, he was a good teacher on the rockcraft and the geology, flora and fauna. Hard to go wrong when it’s clear weather, and very quiet, in this incredible setting, but Murf did a great job and he and Seth were very responsive as we set this up. Highly recommend.
