Trip: The Cloud Ladder - Via Ferrata

Neil guided our group of 3 on the cloud ladder via ferrata and we had an amazing time. He paced us well and his guidance was crystal clear. He let us test our skills while giving advice to keep us safe and encouraged us along the way. The experience was one of a kind and we would come back again and again. One person in our group had done a less extreme via ferrata before, but the other two had no real rock climbing experience outside of climbing small indoor rock walls. When we booked I was a little worried whether we would be physically capable of completing the cloud ladder. We all exercise pretty regularly and didn’t find the physical aspect all that challenging. You definitely need to be able to hold your body weight/ pull up some of your weight for very short periods of time, but you don’t need to be someone capable of doing a ton of pull ups to manage the route. It was a highlight of our trip and we recommend the experience and request Neil for an awesome guide!

Outstanding trip and guide! Absolutely outstanding trip with Reed. We were so grateful for his steady guidance, great directions and positive attitude. We were climbing really early season with younger kids, and Reed was patient and encouraging for both of them. I appreciated that he did an extra belay for safety throughout for the kids. My husband and I were able to really enjoy the climb and the views. We all had a ton of fun, and when the going got tougher with wind at the top, Reed was a rockstar with the kids. I’d recommend this trip to anyone who wants to push their limits and do something really unique and spectacular in Estes Park! Thanks, Reed and KMAC!
