About

Spend a day with KMAC learning and improving your avalanche rescue skills. We will head into the alpine of Rocky Mountain National Park for some intensive hands-on practice with efficiently conducting an avalanche transceiver (beacon) search, quick probing for victims, and we will practice several methods of quickly shoveling someone out once located. All participants get a lot of one-on-one time with instructors who are focused on improving their personal skills.

Upon completion students will receive a certification from Silverton Avalanche School.

What to Know

You need to be ready to use AT skis, a split board, or snowshoes to attend this course. Cost does not include transportation or entrance fees for RMNP.
