Wow, wow, wow! Words cannot express the degree to which my family enjoyed our guided Ouray Gold Mountain Via Ferrata tour with Basecamp. Our guide Jacob was informative and entertaining, clearly spending more time with us than is usual on the climb, making sure we were having a great time (Rule #1 accomplished). My 15 y/o son, 19 y/o daughter, and I had no experience with climbing or via ferrate but came away hungry for more.

Gold Mountain is exactly that…GOLD!!! We can’t say enough about our guide Jacob and the obvious love he has for teaching and sharing this type of experience with others. I am very afraid of heights and chose to do this experience to overcome my fears. Jacob did an amazing job at teaching us techniques and instilling confidence in my son and I as we moved through this AMAZING course! The entire team was positive, encouraging, and truly showed a passion for what they do! Hands down a 10/10
