Shady Creek Expeditions offers Outdoor Adventures in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeast Georgia. Our Outfitter and Guide Shop is located on Main Street in Downtown Clayton, GA and we are permitted by the US Forest Service in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. We place a high priority on conservation of our mountain lands and streams. We practice Catch & Release and Leave No Trace principles. If you are looking for an authentic outdoor experience, we will set up your very own adventure with one of our professional Outdoor Adventure Guides. Our skilled and experienced Guides have been fishing mountain streams for years, and their mission is to provide an outstanding outdoor experience that you will always remember.

Zac Chapman did a great job of cast instruction and very detailed with different techniques. Encouraging guide and took time to discuss entomology. Showed different types of insects and their stages of life to understand nymph and dry fly selection. In addition, and the best part, we caught fish. Highly recommend Shady Creek Expeditions if one is in Rabun County or northeast Georgia area.

About as relaxing as it gets. The gear worked great and the Guide Zac did an awesome job explaining technique. We caught fish and really felt the value Shady Creek offers in the half day package. This is my second time fishing with Shady Creek and both times I fished with Zac. Both trips couldn’t have been any better, I had never flyfished before and Zac was a great teacher and extremely knowledgeable about fly fishing. I highly recommend booking a fishing trip with Zac, you will have a great time!!

Zack was great! It was our first time fly fishing, so we were hesitant about learning in only a few hours. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient. We had a great time. Ended up catching around 40 fish. Would definitely book again.

We had a great time. The hike was informative and the food was awesome. Everything Shady Creek does is first class and this was no exception. There was a lot of advance preparation and planning necessary to put this adventure together and everything was well organized and seamless. The best part of any trip with Shady Creek for me; however, are the guides.....you won't find more knowledgeable and friendly folks anywhere! Highly recommend one of their guided trips!!
