Shady Creek Expeditions offers Outdoor Adventures in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeast Georgia. Our Outfitter and Guide Shop is located on Main Street in Downtown Clayton, GA and we are permitted by the US Forest Service in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. We place a high priority on conservation of our mountain lands and streams. We practice Catch & Release and Leave No Trace principles. If you are looking for an authentic outdoor experience, we will set up your very own adventure with one of our professional Outdoor Adventure Guides. Our skilled and experienced Guides have been fishing mountain streams for years, and their mission is to provide an outstanding outdoor experience that you will always remember.

First off, let me say that the individuals working for Shady Creek Expeditions are amazing to work with. The have a passion for what they do, and they want to share that passion with others. I actually found Shady Creek Expeditions because they made a donation to Backcountry Hunters and Anglers to help with a conservation banquet. Unknowingly to me, my wife won this guided service in an auction while I was yapping to some others during the banquet. Then after months of not being able to get a weekend free to enjoy the servicce, I was finally able to make time in April of 2025. I appreciate Shady Creek working with me on scheduling a time and also appreciate their dedication to conservation by making the donation to BHA. The trip itself was interesting and enjoyable. I had never flyfished in my life and Zac provided great instruction for both my wife and myself, and before long we both had some fish in the net. We were taken to a beautiful river / area and while we caught a few fish that morning, we could have easily had more if we followed Zac's instructions more closely. (ie. I'm a bass fisherman by nature and fly rod is a little different technique that will take me a little time to get use to.) The onnly downside from the trip for myself is that my wife caught more fish than me so I am going to have to hear about this for the rest of my life, but its a great memory to have all the same. Thanks again to both Zach and Shady Creek for everything, I am looking forward to the next time!
