Shady Creek Expeditions offers Outdoor Adventures in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeast Georgia. Our Outfitter and Guide Shop is located on Main Street in Downtown Clayton, GA and we are permitted by the US Forest Service in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. We place a high priority on conservation of our mountain lands and streams. We practice Catch & Release and Leave No Trace principles. If you are looking for an authentic outdoor experience, we will set up your very own adventure with one of our professional Outdoor Adventure Guides. Our skilled and experienced Guides have been fishing mountain streams for years, and their mission is to provide an outstanding outdoor experience that you will always remember.

We had an absolutely outstanding fly fishing trip with Zac! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make the day both successful and enjoyable. His knowledge of the water, the fish, and the techniques is incredible, but what really stood out was his patience and easygoing style of teaching. He tailored the trip perfectly to our skill level. Zac knew exactly where to take us and before we knew it, we were hooked up and reeling in fish. Every detail was handled seamlessly, from the gear to the timing, so all we had to do was relax and enjoy the experience. My son Michael and I recently went on our first-ever fly fishing adventure with Shady Creek Expeditions, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the sport! From the moment we met him, Zac was warm, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made us both feel completely comfortable, regardless of our skill level (which was zero!). His passion for fly fishing was contagious, and it made the experience not just educational but truly enjoyable. The scenery was breathtaking, the equipment was top-notch, and Zac’s guidance made it feel like we were fishing with a friend rather than a hired guide. We learned so much, laughed a lot, and even managed to catch a few fish! We had a great time today with Zac. He took us to some beautiful spots… my husband landed 5 trout (4 rainbow and 1 Brooke trout) I caught 1 rainbow trout. Zac is a great guide and gave us some wonderful tips for fly fishing.thank you again
