Shady Creek Expeditions offers Outdoor Adventures in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeast Georgia. Our Outfitter and Guide Shop is located on Main Street in Downtown Clayton, GA and we are permitted by the US Forest Service in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. We place a high priority on conservation of our mountain lands and streams. We practice Catch & Release and Leave No Trace principles. If you are looking for an authentic outdoor experience, we will set up your very own adventure with one of our professional Outdoor Adventure Guides. Our skilled and experienced Guides have been fishing mountain streams for years, and their mission is to provide an outstanding outdoor experience that you will always remember.

I am new at trout fishing, so I warned our guide. He joked and took us to one of the most beautiful rivers we've been on, in North Georgia. Great tips from the guide. There was lots of trout activity. The equipment, from poles + flies to waders fit and worked well. We'll be back. Thanks for a great experience.

Marcus absolutely put me in the right place with the right setup to land quality brown and rainbow trout. He was great company and as always taught a couple of new tricks of the trade. I will certainly be booking another trip with Shady Creek Expeditions soon. Also, a shoutout to Trey in the store for giving me a great deal on a new 7 wt. TFO fly rod and setting up my Lamson Remix 7+ with backing and fly line to add a streamer rod to my fly fishing arsenal. I managed to catch a brownie on my first cast with this new rod and reel mainly because Marcus put a hot streamer fly that the trout couldn’t turn down. A big thank you for a great 1/2 day wade trip!
