For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

A great time for the family. Brought my 2 boys ages 8 and 6 to try rock climbing the first time. While at first it seemed daunting, we all got the hang of it. Ryan our guide was great with the kids. Overall great experience and not to mention the sights. Only downside was the rock climbing shoes will destroy your feet. I’d probably bring some bandaids.

I climbed with Ryan C for the third year in a row, and it was as exciting and fun as I remembered. I climb regularly, and I was with four other climbers with limited experience. Ryan crafted an afternoon that suited all of us. He encouraged the less experienced climbers to push themselves beyond what they thought they could accomplish, and they were so excited and proud. He also provided challenging new experiences just right for my level of experience. Safety is always the first priority, and we knew we were in great hands. A glorious afternoon. Mason joked with and encouraged our pack of kids while Tom helped the adults max out our capabilities. Both guides were uncompromising on safety, but responsive to our group's various interests (new routes, etc.). And we got to see the most incredible views of Frenchman Bay & the Porcupines!

My son and I are new to rock climbing, this was our third outdoor climb, but it was the best. We had amazing views and appropriately challenging climbs. Our guide, Calvin, was patient , positive and very knowledgeable.He was an excellent guide, and I can’t wait to climb with him and the Atlantic lClimbing School again!
