Always appreciate the opportunity to enjoy Aspen back country with the skill and companionship of Aspen Expedition guides. My father hired guides for this hike to ensure our safety, but unfortunately, we felt rushed throughout the ascent. Departing at 5 AM and summiting by 9 AM, we experienced a pace that felt overly hurried. One of our party members was even reprimanded for brief pauses. While I understand the desire to avoid traffic in the gullies and potential weather issues, the rapid pace seemed unnecessary, especially considering the quick summit time. I hope future guided trips will take into account the preferences of participants to create a more enjoyable and less stressful experience.
