Trip: Black Hills Singletrack

Guide: Trey T., Kc G.

my wife and I had an amazing time on the Black Hills Single track trip with Western Spirit. The riding was excellent and our guides were awesome. KC and Trey were knowledgeable about the area, friendly and always professional. They worked hard to make sure we had a great experience and their cooking was top notch. We could not have asked for a better experience and look forward to doing more trips with Western Spirit in the future.

I really enjoyed this trip. It was a great small group and these two young ladies did an awesome job guiding this trip, I have been on 4 trips now and I think this was the best trip to date. I look forward to the next trip with WS. Thank you

This trip was amazing. The rides were tough at times but the encouragement I got from Katie and Avery was what got me through

Trip: North Rim of the Grand Canyon

Guide: Franklin S., Spencer O.

Delightful trip. Frank and Spencer are the best. Even hail, rain, thunder and lightning couldn’t keep us from reaching the campsite

The trip was super fun and KC and Trey were superb. This is my fifth Western Spirit trip and everything from the riding to the guides to the food has been top notch. I highly recommend Western Spirits!

Trip: Custom Trip

Guide: Will C., Shane O.

First off we loved the trip. Both Will and Shane did a terrific job. They were organized, knowledgeable and amenable to all of our requests. The biking equipment was top notch and the routes were well thought out. We enjoyed the scenery and terrain more than the White Rim five years ago which was a surprising turn of events since we loved that trip. Our constructive feedback would be the following: - Due to the time of year it would have been nice to have sleeping bags rated to a lower temperature. The first two nights were quite cold and many of the group had trouble sleeping. Since weight isn’t an issue, we would recommend heavier weight bags. - Two make your own sandwich days felt like one too many. Will and Shane did a great job making a lighter, quicker lunch on the first and last days and we felt there could have been one more. - It would have been nice for the Shane and Will to give a little more instruction when the team asked questions. They did a very short demonstration on proper turning technique but the group would have liked a little more. We understand that it isn’t a seminar but with difficult terrain and relatively novice riders it would have been good to see some best practices. Thanks and we will be back!

Trip: Black Hills Singletrack

Guide: Chris K., Kc G.

Everything was great! Chris and KC were exceptional guides. The rides, food and campsites were great! Sharie and I thought it was more difficult technically and physically than we had anticipated. Definitely tougher than the North Rim of the Grand Canyon that we did with Rim Tours. Unfortunately our car was vandalized at the Days Inn parking lot in Rapid City while on the trip. Again, Chris and KC were awesome! Thanks! Clint

Trip: Telluride to Moab Gravel

Guide: Lucas E., Chris P.

This was my second trip with Western Spirit and it was one of my top 10 favorite vacations ever. The trip was physically challenging with long bumpy miles with some big climbs and warm/windy weather. The geography along the route was unforgettably stunning. Kudos to the Western Spirit team for the route planning, delicious and well-presented food, general support, and sharing their knowledge of the backcountry and geology of the areas we visited. In addition to our two guides, our group included a few guides-in-training; all of the Western Spirit team exuded positivity and a love of the outdoors. I rode a gravel bike and really appreciated the long, technical descents and the physically challenging climbs. I have a lot of mountain biking experience so the descents were fun on a gravel bike. My only recommendation is to offer a little more detail on road descents to help future guests select the best bike for the ride. I think that gravel bikers with more road (and less MTB) experience might be uncomfortable on the descents with a gravel bike. I will definitely plan another Western Spirit trip, it is so rare to have an outdoor adventure AND feel pampered at the same time. Thank you:)
