Trip: Backcountry Hot Springs

Guide: Lucas E., Will C.

The trip was pretty sweet, perfect weather and great guides. The only damper was one of the members crashing on a descent and breaking his elbow. But Will really stepped up, driving him all the way to Boise and then back again, while Lucas took care of the rest of us. Would have been good to have had the previous schedule with the fourth night camping in the same place as the third night, since it was the best camping spot by far, especially with the hot springs waterfall. And of course the plane ride out.

Luke and Will were outstanding guides; cared that we were having fun, fed, and had plenty to do during the downtime. The trip was a great mix of cycling and water (hot and cold) of all kinds! Two hard climbing days, and three flowy gravel days. Overall super fun!

Wonderful crew leading an absolutely stunning week in Oakridge! Loved being spoiled in typical Western Spirit fashion with awesome food every day and comfortable campgrounds. Kudos to Anna and Chris for getting my husband’s sense of humor and being great sports!!

Great trip with outstanding guides Anna and Shane. They did an outstanding job adjusting to the heat wave that happened during the trip.

Trip: Mount Hood Singletrack

Guide: Anna R., Shane O.

I loved everything about this trip (except day 1, sucking wind at altitude and cramping due to my poor preparation). Seriously, everything was phenomenal. I absolutely loved the companionship and camaraderie with new and immediate friends. Our similar demographics and the quick bond of having been through tough rides together were surprising and heartwarming. The communication, accurate packing lists, and text reminders were very helpful and added to the enjoyment of the week. The standardized daily routine, once learned, covered and allowed for everything. The little extras like a place to stretch/foam-roll my weary body, bike stand, and innovative hand-wash stations were all clever and appreciated too. I also loved that the food, delicious and plentiful, was also fresh and appropriate for the big ride efforts we were putting out - no shortcuts here. Where do I even begin with Anna and Shane?! Professional, knowledgeable, efficient, communicative, skilled in every way, always appropriate, so kind and understanding, firm with us when they needed to be for safety or other reasons (but still so kind in doing so), able to ‘read the crowd’, and very, very hard working. You've got a couple of grade-a gems there, but you probably already know that. Thank you! You will see me again soon. Ian Cowley

The guides were great as usual. Lots of heat and bugs, but that is camping sometimes. Loved going swimming in the river and hot springs. I was thankful I had an ebike because of the heat
