Mojave Guides is an AMGA accredited guide service in Joshua Tree, California. This accreditation ensures that we are upholding the highest of industry standards, including rigorous and uniform guide training, compliance with state and federal law, and that we promote ethical business practices. Our guides are contributing members of both the climbing community and our local community in Joshua Tree. We look forward to introducing you to our favorite place!

We had the best day with Mojave Guides and Mason. We had lots of flexibility to go at our own pace and prioritize the things we wanted to do and see most. They made everything super fun and easy for us. Mason made us feel very safe while still allowing us to get outside our comfort zones and push ourselves. This experience was the highlight of our trip! We look forward to one day doing something like this again!

Our time with Murphy was incredible! He was encouraging, helpful, and a great guide! I did not expect to go as high as we did while climbing but I’m glad he pushed us both to challenge ourselves! It was really fun and I would do this again :)

This was by far the highlight of my trip to Joshua Tree. I am not an experienced climber - as in, I have repelled like twice as a youngster, and have done indoor climbing only a handful of times - and this was perfect. I shared that I am pretty athletic and Murph picked out the perfect places to show me the ropes (pun intended. Also said ropes and all other safety equipment is adequately provided.) The first climb at The Chief was challenging, but doable, and Murph was encouraging and a great coach. I learned so much! And then - The Casm of Doom Scramble. If you want to feel like you’re in an Indiana Jones movie, make sure you do this run IT. WAS. AWESOME. Murph was such a fun guide; we started as acquaintances and left as friends, hugs and all when the time was through. Don’t look anywhere else for climbing guides in JT - you found everything you need right here with Mojave Guides.

We were guided by Murph, who was probably the most positive and fun human being that we ever encountered. Murph took our climbing instructions and prior experience into account, and selected a climb we would enjoy the most. He was encouraging throughout the climb and made sure we had an excellent climb in a safe and controlled environment. Throughout the climb, we had a great time and made some really lasting memories. If you’re at all interested in climbing in Joshua Tree and wondering who to go with, go with Mojave Guides- they come highly recommended!
