One of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had on a vacation! Joshua tree is breathtaking, and Ryan was incredible. It was my 15-year-old son and me, and he gave us confidence and encouragement to do some thing totally out of our comfort levels. But he did not push at all. This was wonderful!

We had the most amazing afternoon climbing and hiking with Murphy! He was great with people of all levels of ability and anxiety, from nervous mom to spider monkey/more experienced preteen. After a number of climbs, he led us on a walk around a different area with petroglyphs and unique flora. He let us decide what we felt up to doing - climbing more, easy hike, harder hike, length of hike, etc. Joshua Tree is amazing in itself (that jaw-dropping scenery!) and the hours with Murphy made it a truly unforgettable experience for all of us!

Let’s start with saying that I’m afraid of heights so doing this was clearly not my idea but I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed it. Murphy was our guide and he couldn’t have been more perfect. He was really fun, patient, understanding of my fear so he took some time to explain how everything worked and why it was so safe to do this type of climbing. Once the fear was manageable, it was just about the fun and like solving a puzzle. He knew every little thing about this rock so when we didn’t know where to step he would intervene and help. It was the perfect balance of technique, theory, and freedom to figure it out on your own while feeling 100% safe. Thank you Mojave Guides, especially Murph! Can’t believe I’m saying this, but can’t wait till next time!! Merry Christmas!

Excellent afternoon with Mojave Guides. Murphy catered the climbs to our experience level and needs. He took extra time to teach us the basics and made sure we were safe. Spent the afternoon climbing in Indian Cove and ended the day with a hike up Rattlesnake Canyon. Super fun day all around.
