Great vibe, great guiding. Huge thanks to Connor and Ben. They were incredibly patient with a wide range of skill levels and kept things conversational and approachable the whole weekend. They created a space where it felt totally comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, or say the wrong thing—which is exactly what you want when learning avalanche and backcountry skills. Egos were left in the parking lot, which was refreshing and honestly essential in a sport that can have a lot of them. Super solid learning environment and I’d absolutely recommend these guys to anyone getting into the backcountry.

This class rocks! Conner is a pro! He takes his work very seriously yet manages to make the course fun and engaging. The assistant guide, Ben, was also very knowledgeable and stoked about backcountry travel. After completing this course, I have much more confidence in my ability to make informed decisions before and during trips to the backcountry, as well as implementing avalanche rescue protocols. We skied high quality snow on fun lines both field days. If you want to ski/ride the Tahoe backcountry, but don’t have a death wish, you must take this course!

Ryan was an awesome instructor for this course. Learned so much about the backcountry and avalanches and all the tools to keep me safer before entering the backcountry. Even though there was a lot of information, I have a starting point on where my tools are and knowing that getting out there is the best practice I can have. Being cautious and knowing when to make decisions that can be life saving.
