For over two decades Atlantic Climbing School has been Maine’s premier climbing guide service, specializing in small, custom rock and ice climbing courses in Acadia National Park, Camden, Maine, and beyond. ACS is one of just 30 programs in the U.S. accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). ALL of our staff are certified by the AMGA as either Rock Guides, Rock Instructors, or Single Pitch Instructors, and we are proud to be the ONLY guide service in Maine to have this distinction

I really enjoyed the trip! Tom was an excellent guide. Really knowledgeable, helpful, and a pleasure to be around. He explained some of the details of his anchor methods when we asked and did a really good job of giving technical tips on climbing. We were late to show up and without asking Tom offered to stay later with us to make up for that time. He offered a great blend of being a guide while also feeling like a friend taking us out to climb.

Amazing experience! Guide was extraordinarily experienced, knowledgeable and very cool. Both of us were relatively new to climbing, and were so happy with the one on one instruction. The time spent was challenging and super fun. We got several climbs in and learned so much. 10/10 would recommend!!

Sam is a talented and professional guide. He was able to teach and entertain our family for a morning family climb. Planning and communication with the office is easy. They also provided some ideas for other activities for kids in and around Acadia, as did Sam personally. Highly recommended as a family activity.
