This accreditation ensures that we are upholding the highest of industry standards, including rigorous and uniform guide training, compliance with state and federal law, and that we promote ethical business practices. We booked a 4 hour rock climbing trip and we had a really great time but we only rock climbed for 2.5 hours. I feel like we were really shortchanged on the time and didn’t get what we paid for. With three kids learning to rock climb for the first time, it would’ve been really great to have the ropes setup and we would’ve loved to be there at the climbing spot at 8 a.m. but we didn’t even get to the spot until 9 a.m. and then didn’t start climbing until after 9:30 a.m. Then our guide was packing up to leave at 11:45 a.m. $800 plus tax for what we got seems ridiculous but Jay was a great guide otherwise so th that’s the only reason I didn’t give one star. 5 stars for Jay, 1 star for the operation and value.

We had an amazing day!! Murph and Luis made us feel super safe and comfortable. They picked the perfect spot for our group of 5 kids (ages 5-11) and 4 adults. We learned so much about rock climbing and all things Joshua Tree. And the equipment was in great shape. Super fun day!! Not to be missed activity in Joshua Tree.

Merph was a fenomenal guide and downright lovely person. It was my first trip to Joshua tree, and my first time scampering around boulders and I think I am hooked for life! He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and encouraging for the plants to grow. He was also safe and supportive during more difficult rock ambles, and conscientious of my family member’s knees. Thank you again for a wonderful afternoon, I will certainly be back and hopefully get to explore with Murph again!
