Trip: Olympic Coast: Middle School

At first it was tough and I didn’t like most of the kids, but around the second half of day 2, a kid named Alex included me and that helped as I was missing home. The food was ok for the most part. The ramen was alright, I liked the extra stuff they put in the bag to add to it. On the other hand, the mashed potatoes were the most atrocious thing I have ever put in my mouth. On the night of the second day, I had a really good talk with the counselors about things that I like and we saw a really nice sunset. I will most likely be returning with some of my friends.

What a wonderful week for our camp attendee, Micah. Each day we saw his enthusiasm build and his comfort level increase with any possible unknowns of a given day. The picnic shelter setting was temp cool and removed from much of the bustle of the park. I am so glad he got to know Pt. Defiance Park better because it is a remarkable place. The counnselors, Shay and Nicki had such a great rapport with the kids. I can't recommend this camp highly enough.
