Trip: Hannegan Peak: Middle School
Guide: Cade B., Sydney C.
Hello Lorelei, David told me to give you guys 5-stars for last week's trip. It was so different from the Ross Lake trip 2 weeks ago where the boy leader Everet spoke with foul languages all the time which influenced other kids to do so, and he also telling his inappropriate thing regarding girls. Plus Sara was not very supportive at all. Last week, the adult leader Sydney and her team (Cade) was so good, supportive and very respectful. David enjoyed and learnt a lot from them. He came home talking about the trip more rather than talking about other people. The peers were very good too. No bullying. If David decides to join a trip next year, we have to make sure he will join the trip that Sydney and her team (or staffs with same temperament)that lead the trip. Overall, this last week was excellent for David. Kudos to Sydney and Cade. ~~~ Robin Lee,08/11/2024

Trip: Ruth Mountain
Guide: Lorelei F., Travis W.
We had two guides for our small group which came in handy for unexpected events. Learned about climbing techniques, crevasse rescue, and more from knowledgeable staff, and climber safety and comfort was a top priority. Was impressed with their on the fly troubleshooting skills! Would def book another trip with Sahale

It was fantastic! I was a total beginner to mountaineering and this was a really fun & supportive trip where I learned a lot and got to experience an amazing place. Lorelei and Travis were great at responding to my slower pace/need for breaks, answered the questions I had along the way and offered practice opportunities, and did some above & beyond troubleshooting when my boots fell apart that allowed me to still experience the whole trip. I couldn't have picked a better first trip!

It was very very fun. All of the camp leaders were super nice. You are able to take breaks as much as you want. It was very nice because I made a friend. -Wren, age 10

Trip: Ross Lake: Middle School

She liked the hiking and getting to swim and jump off the cliff. Wasn’t a fan of oatmeal :) Also next time please let us know there are opportunities where having money would be helpful- other kids seemed to know this but we didn’t so couldn’t buy snacks when they stopped on the drive up and back.
