We booked a trip through Yarrow in November and requested an approachable top-rope location for our kids, 8 and 10, and also something in the sunshine and with nice views. The location in White Rock did not disappoint with stunning views of the Rio Grande and multiple routes next to each other that allowed our kids to challenge themselves.

Yarrow mountain and our guide were a perfect fit for us. We get to spend a lot of time in this area, and having a reliable source for finding and enjoying all of the outdoor activities is exactly what we were looking for. We hired Erica for our two college aged sons. It was their first time outside of the climbing gym. Erica was a joy to hang out with, and she provided excellent guidance for both of them. They each got to climb 4 different routes, and they received excellent tips and training in climbing and belay. I look forward to using Yarrow Mountain again in the near future.

My 13 year old son and I had a great time doing half day with Tommy as our guide. Tommy was great at making sure we were safe but having fun as well. He gave us the opportunity to try some new skills and we walked away feeling like we had accomplished something as well. I highly recommend this group. My only additional recommendation would be to download an offline map of whatever area you're climbing in just to make sure you have a reference with sometimes spotty cell reception. We found our particular site no problem but that might be helpful as well. thanks again Yarrow!
