Aspen Expeditions

Mia and Sarah do it again! This was a great trip full of fun, education, and a little spicy adventure. The all women's environment really creates a space of belonging. I learned a lot of tips for efficient mountain travel, knots, anchors, and mountaineering skills. The hut environment keeps me focused, with time to reflect and absorb the information. Living in the mountains for multiple days was the perfect way to experience and absorb all the knowledge these two experienced women have to offer.

Chris was an amazing guide. Our group feels very grateful. We did a run up sheep mountain followed by mace mountain for a total of 5,500 vert. It was amazing to explore with Chris and we felt lucky. He is very calm and keeps the group grounded and the bigger mission in mind with perspective on how to approach different aspects of the journey. I always felt like he paced the group well and we landed back at the car 30 minutes behind our beginning of day 5 am timeline, which I’d say is pretty spot on. Highly recommend!

Will was an excellent guide! There was a range of experience and abilities amongst our group and he was very quick to put everyone at ease and therefore facilitate everyone's learning. Being completely inexperienced I did not feel uncomfortable taking part in activities, practice scenarios and drills because Will had a friendly and encouraging manner. He answered questions and addressed concerns and I felt I learned a lot and gained understanding about the basics of avalanche rescue from spending the day with Will and will have a base level of competence upon which to build.
