We had a fabulous trip. Day 1 and Day 3 were NOT easy but our guides supported us in these challenging climbs. I would say day 3 was an advanced day for people without ebikes. We got lucky with the weather, enjoyed every meal and felt very well cared for. The airplane ride out was totally cool. I was nervous but in the end it was a highlight! Our pilot was right out of the movies...total pro and a character.

Everything was wonderful. The only thing I would suggest is to have more comfortable chairs. It is difficult for our demographic to get up out of those chairs. Maybe the smaller folding chairs that one has on river rafting trips. Other than that all was perfect.

Colton and Shane made sure everybody had a great time. Great guides and very personable. The rides were as fun as advertised. I would recommend this trip to anyone serious about great single-track riding.

Trip: Backcountry Hot Springs

It was a perfect combination of physical challenge and complete relaxation. Britney’s confidence and experience in the backcountry made me feel I was in the worlds safest hands. She’s also fun and makes camp feel like home. Ben is kind and funny and brings a unique lightness to camp, and he’s a supportive cheerleader during challenging sections of the ride. The hotsprings are dreamy and sleeping under the stars with a belly full of nutritious and delicious food was the best way to end an amazing day in the mountains.

what's there to say but superlatives! First, our guides were great - individually and working as a duo who hadn't led a trip before. It didn't show - what did show was great leadership and hosting combined, which made our trip fantastic. The itinerary was quite good and for 3 days we had flawless weather. The 4th day was ... interesting (as you now know). But when faced with adversity, we rallied. It was super gratifying to make it through that day and actually complete our planned ride into Zion (and make it to a great dinner at the Bit and Spur - thanks). I had 2 sons with me, and they both loved it as well. (ages 20 and 22).

The guides were great they did the best they could to make a good experience after finding out that the website description of the trip did not reflect the reality of the trails and camps. As they eventually had to explain that the black hills is not prepared for bicycles. One day involved 52 water crossings that in most cases required walking in the water. Someone said that 40% of that day required walking That does not describe flowing trails as the website does . The website said all camps were at a lake or stream. The closest we got was a 1/2 mile bike ride to a lake we could not see from the camp. All the others were farther and required at least a 300 foot climb. The trip was not as advertised. We have done the white rim and north rim and everytrail there is in crested butte. The description should be black hills is new to mountain biking come help work out the rough edges and help western spirit figure this out

Guides were great but your description of this trip is misleading at best. It is NOT flown single track by any means. Lots of hike a bike over equestrian and cow trails. You really need to be honest. This was our third western spirit trip and will most likely be our last due to the misleading advertising.

The trip was flawless. Britney and Ben were a perfect team. We love them both and we love the trip. The food was spectacular, especially the ice cream on the third and fourth nights… Unbelievable, thanks for being there.
