I loved being out there on the MTBs. The food was excellent, with lots of fruit, vegetables, and healthy options. The route has plenty of areas that are tiring if you are not trained up, but the e- bike option can fix that. Be sure to bring all the warm layers that are on the packing list as night can be cold.

The red rock faces that towered beside the trail, the distant mountain vistas, the river gorges, the pure blue sky (when it wasn't cloudy), and the rugged vegetation were a feast for the eyes. The cycling was fun and right at what I expected for an intermediate rated mountain bike trail on a jeep road. Claire and Garret's friendly and cheerful demeanors kept up our spirits when the rain came, and I appreciated their professionalism in evaluating trail conditions and keeping us safe after the rain made the trail muddy. They are very good trail cooks too! The meals were great.

Garrett and Claire did a magnificent job of guiding the tour and in making everybody feel welcomed. The food provided was, without exception, a real treat. While the weather wasn’t anybody’s first pick they did an outstanding job of making sure that we were safe and included in the contingency plans. As somebody with a lifetime of outdoor activities, including extended offshore passage making, I especially appreciated their conservative approach to the planning of each day’s stage. This was particularly important on the planning of the 2nd day as a result of the weather. I look forward to future trips with Western Spirit. -Jim

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on the Black Canyon 3-Day Trip with Western Spirit, and I can confidently say it was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment I joined the group at the initial meet-up to the final drop-off, every aspect of the trip was nothing short of fantastic. One of the standout features of this trip was the outstanding team of guides provided by Western Spirit. Their knowledge of the trails, passion for mountain biking, and commitment to safety were evident throughout the entire journey. They not only guided us skillfully through the rugged terrain but also prepared some awesome meals to keep us moving forward. The Black Canyon 3-Day Trip with Western Spirit exceeded all expectations. It was a perfect blend of challenging mountain biking, stunning scenery, delicious food, knowledgeable guides, and wonderful companionship. I absolutely loved the trip!! We had an excellent crew of people and fabulous guides! The food was top notch and it was wonderful to not have to cook for ourselves. The guides were friendly, helpful and worked really hard to make sure everything ran smoothly and everything ran perfectly as far as I could tell.
